Local artist Hoda Ackad-Wenger is holding an exhibition and vernissage of her large-scale portraits
from March 9 to April 2 at Gallery Luz, Edifice BELGO, 372 Ste. Catherine St. W. # 418.
A vernissage will take place on March 12 from 2 to 5 p.m.
The Power Behind the Scenes — Culture Montreal is a portrait series of the designers, impresarios, architects,
directors and visionaries who shape Montreal’s cultural landscape. Ackad-Wenger’s 6 x 7 feet oil paintings
reflect and capture the larger-than-life spirit of these individuals.
A few recent works will be featured as well as the one of music promoter and impresario Rubin Fogel,
which was never shown before.
